Shelled peas halves - a legume unique in taste.
Shelled peas are one of the most popular legumes. In addition to its unquestionable health properties, the product is extremely tasty. Interestingly, half peas, often found as a substitute for meat, are also much more filling. Unlike the unshelled variety, our shelled peas do not require many hours of preparation - as they do not need to be soaked before cooking.
What distinguishes our shelled peas? Nutritional values and calories
Shelled peas from Melvit, like all legumes, are a source of vegetable protein, an alternative to animal protein. Thus, it is often used in place of meat in vegetarian diets. The product also contains a lot of fiber, and therefore improves digestion and has a cleansing effect on the intestines.
However, that's not all! Thanks to B vitamins, shelled pea halves support the nervous system, help prevent anxiety, and alleviate the effects of stress. The high content of minerals, i.e. iron, magnesium or potassium, also makes this product suitable for people on a reduction diet.
As for calories, there are 343 kcal in 100 g of our half peas. However, due to its high fiber content (7.2 g/100 g), the product is extremely filling. Consuming it, therefore, will not disrupt our diet.
Shelled yellow peas - how much to cook?
Shelled peas available in our assortment are relatively simple to prepare. As we have already mentioned, it does not require prior soaking.
