Stanley's Pierogi is a well-known brand for traditional Polish dumplings, and while they are primarily recognized for their pierogi, they may also offer kopytka—another beloved Polish dumpling.

Kopytka are similar to Italian gnocchi and are made with mashed potatoes, flour, and eggs. The name "kopytka" means "little hooves" in Polish, as their shape resembles small hoof-like cuts.

Ingredients:

unbleached wheat flour, potato flour, water, potatoes, salt

Cooking instructions:

sautéing: Heat butter or oil in a frying pan. Add dumpling over low/medium heat. Cook until golden brown on both sides.

boiling: Bring salter water to a boil. Place dumpling into boiling water, stirring gently until the dumpling rise to the surface. Boil for 1 minute. Do not overcook. Drain and enjoy. Serve with your choice of favorite toppings like breadcrumbs, bacon bits or mushroom sauce.
