Preparation Instructions:
- In a large pot, bring water with the sour rye starter (żur) to a boil. Add the onion cut into quarters and the garlic cloves.
- Simmer over low heat for about 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook the white sausage in a separate pot until tender.
- After 30 minutes, add Kamis Żurek / White Borscht Soup Seasoning Mix and a pinch of marjoram. Continue cooking for another 10 minutes.
- Slice the sausage and add it to the soup.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, then stir in the sour cream.
- Mix well and serve hot with a slice of fresh bread.
